On these pages you cannot read about urological illnesses of the prostate, the erection and so on, medicaments, surgical operations or specific treatments. You can find more or less useful information about them on the internet. I suppose that surfing on the web will not satisfy those who suffer from health problems. Each person’s disease needs to be handled and treated individually by the urologist. The following pages are actually meant to be a calling card. Here you can find briefly how to reach me (Budapest or Gödöllő). I have now a private praxis. Should you need some help only by phone or mail, you’re welcome. Do not hesitate to contact me. Sometimes a few words are more than hundreds of web pages.
I started pursuing studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Semmelweis University in Budapest in 1981. I carried on my initial scientific research in anatomical and surgical institutions. I graduated from the university in 1987, and I started the medical activity as a resident physician at the Urological Department of János Hospital and Clinic in Budapest. I passed the qualifying exam in urology with credit in 1991. From 1992 until October 1999 I was professor’s assistant at the Urological Department of the Postgraduate Medical University in Budapest. After this, I worked full time at the Urological Department of Flór Ferenc Hospital, Kistarcsa, Pest County until the end of July 2012, when the department was closed. Since 2004 I have been chief physician, as from the end of 2000 I was deputy head of the department at the hospital.
I have been the executive manager of my own company, named Uro-Health Ltd. since 2010, and I have been practising in various fields in cooperation with several medical centers.
I have participated in a number of national and international congresses (France, Italy, Israel, Romania, Turkey, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and Poland).
I have taken part in postgraduate trainings. In Austria: Franz Josef Spital, Wien, professional exam preparation; Wilhelminen Spital, Wien, laparoscopy and urodynamics; Rudolfstiftung, Wien, ESWL; University of Innsbruck, laparoscopic training. In Germany: Klinik St. Georg, Bad Aibling, prostate hyperthermia; Krankenhaus Hetzelsift, Neustadt a.r. Weinstr., prostatic spiral, which was applied in Hungary for the first time by me. I have been twice at the Department of Urology of the “Klinikum am Gesundbrunnen” in Heilbronn, Academic Teaching Hospital of the University of Heidelberg twice, laser and endoscopy as well as laparoscopy. In Denmark (Copenhagen, Herlev Hospital) I studied the specific urological ultrasound diagnostics, especially the rectal examination of the prostate. Among my inland primary professional activities are the ESWL (ever since it exists in Hungary, i.e. 1988), the stone and tumour endosurgery and the diagnostics and therapy of the diseases of the prostate.
I was among the first physicians to perform urological laparoscopic surgery in Hungary, which was introduced in 1991 after long animal experiments (scientific publications and presentations were reported).
Of course I am at the disposal of patients in any field of urology, with the exception of some special areas of andrology.
I have an intermediate level German language exam and communicating in English language does not give me trouble either. I am a member of the Hungarian and the European Association of Urology.
